Are pet deposits legal in Ontario?

Hey everyone, I'm a bit confused about pet deposits. My landlord wants a pet fee, but I thought Ontario pet deposits are illegal. What can they really charge for having a pet? Is there a difference between pet rent and a pet fee? Any insight on what rights I have would be super helpful!
