Need advice on Corso Italia rentals this winter

I'm considering a move to Corso Italia for the winter, and I've found a couple of one-bedroom apartments around $2,100. Is that reasonable for the area? Also, any tips on dealing with winter heating in older buildings? Appreciate any insights!
