How much space do you need for WFH in Toronto?

I'm searching for an affordable apartment in Toronto that accommodates WFH. How much space do I realistically need? Is a dedicated office essential, or can I manage with a shared space? I worry that a studio might be too small for effective remote work. Would 500 sqft be enough?
