Struggling with a Ghost Landlord in Toronto

I just graduated and landed my first job, but my landlord has been completely unresponsive about maintenance issues in the apartment. I was promised repairs that still haven't happened, and I'm feeling neglected. It's frustrating to feel like I'm losing my deposit over issues that are not my fault!
