Need Advice on Apartment Size for Working from Home

I'm an international student moving to Toronto and need to find a place to work from home. How much space do you think is ideal? Is a dedicated office necessary, or can I make do with a shared space? I’m considering if a studio is too small for my needs, like around 500 sqft. Any insights?
