Is anyone else struggling with rent eating half their income?

I’m really feeling the pinch of rent here in Toronto. With my kids moved out and downsizing to a condo, I’m facing the 30% rule which feels completely impossible. Can I really afford $2400 a month on a $60k salary? It just feels like I'm spending too much on rent and not enough on living.
