Is constant construction noise during daytime hours acceptable?

I've been dealing with renovations in my apartment for weeks now, and the noise often starts as early as 7 AM. My landlord claims it's necessary for upkeep, but I feel like it's disrupting my daily life. Is this situation typical for Toronto rentals? What are my rights here?
