Found bedbugs in my Yonge-Eglinton apartment - landlord won't help, what are my rights?

Discovered bedbugs in my apartment last week. Landlord is claiming it's my responsibility and wants me to pay for extermination. This doesn't seem right but I don't know Toronto tenant law. What are my actual rights here? Has anyone dealt with this before? I'm stressed and don't want to break my lease but also can't live like this.
