Can I negotiate lower rent in Toronto's soft 2025 market?

With the 2025 rental market shifting and many apartments sitting empty, I'm curious if I can offer less than the asking price. It feels like there's no more bidding wars, so it seems like a good time to negotiate down. Has anyone had success doing this lately?
