Need advice on one-bedroom apartments in Kensington Market!

I'm looking to move to Kensington Market for a new job and I’m seeing prices around $2300 for a one-bedroom. Is that reasonable for the area? Also, what should I know about the neighborhood during winter? Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
