Curious about neighborhood safety in Toronto - any insights?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to move to Toronto and wanted to get a feel for safety in different neighborhoods. How secure do you feel at night, and are bike thefts or break-ins common? Any thoughts on building security measures would also be appreciated. Thanks!
