Need help choosing between Liberty Village and Queen West for winter rentals?

I'm moving to Toronto for work in January and I'm torn between Liberty Village and Queen West. I've found a few places in Liberty for around $2400, but some cute spots in Queen West are close to $2800. Which area offers better amenities for a young professional? Any thoughts on the trade-offs?
