Elevator booking hassle on moving day - tips needed

I'm frustrated with the building rules around moving day! Do I really have to book the elevator days in advance? Plus, any advice on move-in fees or parking for moving trucks? This seems like a lot of hassle just to get my stuff into the apartment!
