Need tips on renting near TTC subway lines this winter

Hey everyone! I’m looking to rent in Toronto, preferably close to TTC subway lines for easy commuting. Any suggestions for neighborhoods? I'm considering places like Yonge & St. Clair or Bloorcourt, but not sure about rental prices this winter. What should I expect for budget around $2300?
