Sick of Basement Apartments and Landlord Lies

I can't believe how many basement apartments I've looked at, and half of them have questionable windows and moisture issues! Landlords expect us to pay top dollar for these cramped, unsafe spaces. $2000 for a basement suite with a tiny window? How is anyone okay with this?!
