Rentals are a nightmare - TTC access feels impossible!

Another rent increase, seriously? How is anyone supposed to afford this? Landlords want $2800 for a bachelor?! It's like a cruel joke! I just got outbid again after viewing 15 places. This market is impossible! I just want something decent near the subway, is that too much to ask?!
