Need tips on finding a subway-accessible apartment this winter

Hey everyone! I'm currently looking for a rental near a TTC subway line since I rely on transit for work. I'm considering neighborhoods like Leslieville and Cabbagetown, but I'm unsure if $2200 is reasonable for a one-bedroom. Any advice on these areas or other suggestions? Thanks!
