Struggling with Upfront Rent Deposit in Toronto

I'm feeling overwhelmed with the $4000-5000 upfront deposit for my rental in Toronto. As an international student, I can't afford the first and last month's rent together. Are there any payment plans available or deposit assistance programs? Any tips for saving up would be really appreciated!
