Riverside's charm or Leslieville's vibe?

I'm considering moving to Riverside but keep hearing great things about Leslieville. Are the rental prices in Riverside as wild as they seem? What’s the vibe like? Looking for a balance of amenities and a friendly neighborhood vibe, but also to keep my budget in check!
