Confusion about deposit limits in Toronto leases

I'm in a bit of a bind—my landlord is asking for more than the legal maximum for deposits. I thought it was just first and last month’s rent? How can I challenge this or get clarity on what they're allowed to ask? Any insights on tenant rights here would be greatly appreciated!
