Worried About Special Assessments as a Condo Renter?

I just heard about a special assessment affecting our condo, and I'm really stressed about what it means for us renters. Do we pay for these extra fees? Will my rent go up because of the assessment? I'm worried I might have to leave due to these unexpected costs. Can anyone help clarify?
