Anyone renting in Leslieville? What's the vibe like?

Just moved to the east end and I'm curious about Leslieville's rental scene. I’ve heard it’s got a great mix of community and convenience. How’s the parking situation, though? I’ve got a car and am wondering if it makes a big dent in monthly costs or if street parking is easier here.
