Thoughts on parkdale rentals? Are they fair?

I've been eyeing Parkdale lately, but I've heard mixed things about the rental prices. Some say it's getting a bit too pricey for what's offered, especially with all the new developments. Are the amenities worth the jump in rent, or is it just a trend? Any current renters with thoughts?
