Anyone commuting from Scarborough to downtown?

I'm thinking of moving to Scarborough since rents are cheaper, but I'm worried about the commute. How bad is the subway service in the mornings? Are there any tips for making it less of a nightmare? Would love to hear from those who do this daily!
