How's the Newbold Ave area for families? Thoughts?

I'm thinking about moving my family to the Newbold Ave area in Toronto, but I'd love to hear from anyone who lives there. What's the vibe like? Are there good schools and parks nearby? Also curious about safety and transit options. Any tips?
