What's the ideal apartment size for WFH with pets?

I'm working from home and need a pet-friendly apartment in Toronto. How much space is really necessary for WFH? Is a dedicated office a must, or can I manage with a shared space? Are studio apartments too small for effective work? Any tips on finding rentals?
