Sick of the Rental Madness in Toronto

Another rent increase, seriously? How is anyone supposed to afford this?! Landlord wants $2800 for a bachelor?! $400 increase in one year, WTF?! Just viewed 15 places, all taken within hours. I'm so sick of bidding wars. This market is impossible, and I'm losing hope every day.
