Need insights on rentals in East York this winter

I’m looking for a one-bedroom apartment in East York and I’ve seen some listings between $1800 to $2100. Is that reasonable for the area? Also, what’s the winter heating situation like in older buildings? Any advice on how to spot good deals on Facebook Marketplace would be great!
