Pet Deposit Confusion in Ontario

Hey everyone, I'm a bit confused about pet deposits in Ontario. My landlord wants a pet fee, but I thought pet deposits were illegal here? What can they actually charge for pets? Is it true that pet rent is a thing? Any insights would be appreciated!
