Lost another apartment to other applicants! Seeking advice!

I'm beyond frustrated! I just got rejected again for an awesome place. It feels like a constant battle with so many applicants out there. Anyone have tips on how to stand out and improve my chances? These weird lease clauses and unusual landlord requests are driving me crazy too! What’s normal?
