Is Kensington Market worth renting in?

I've been eyeing rentals in Kensington Market lately, but I’m a bit hesitant. It seems like such a vibrant area with so much going on, but what's it like in terms of safety? Any recent experiences? Love the vibes, but not sure if I want to deal with noise and foot traffic!
