Relocating to Hamilton or Oshawa: Is It Worth the Commute?

I'm considering moving to Hamilton or Oshawa to escape Toronto prices while pursuing my career. With cheaper rent and relatively quick GO train commutes, I'm wondering if the savings are worth it. Anyone have experiences living in these suburbs and how they balance the trade-offs?
