Worried About Special Assessment Costs for Renters

I've been hearing a lot about special assessments and wonder how they affect us renters. Will we be responsible for those extra condo fees if they go up? I’m especially anxious about potential rent increases because of these assessments, or worse, having to think about leaving if costs get too high.
