Need advice on renting in Leslieville for my first apartment

Hey everyone! I just graduated and landed my first job in downtown Toronto. I'm eyeing Leslieville for my first apartment but am unsure about the rent prices. Is around $2,100 for a one-bedroom reasonable? Any tips for a first-time renter? Thanks in advance!
