Concern Over Condo Special Assessments for Renters

I’m really worried about the new special assessment hitting my condo. With my tight budget, I can’t handle any extra costs, and I've heard that condo fees might go up. Do we renters end up paying for this? I’m scared that I might have to leave because of a rent increase due to the assessment.
