Why is Renting in Toronto an Absolute Nightmare?!

Seriously, another rent increase? How is anyone supposed to afford this? I can't believe my landlord wants $2800 for a bachelor! Just got outbid again on a decent place. I viewed 15 spots and they're all gone within hours. This market is impossible! I’m so over this!
