Stunned by 30-50% Higher Rent for New Apartments in Toronto!

I can't believe it! I'm finding that rent for new apartments is $800 more than what I'm paying now. Same building, different price? How does that even make sense? It's so frustrating to deal with this turnover rent spike while trying to find affordable housing near campus!
