How is anyone supposed to find a decent rental in this city?

Another rent increase, seriously? Landlord wants $2800 for a bachelor?! I can't even keep up with the $400 hikes every single year. It's so sick of these bidding wars! I viewed 15 places and they were all gone within hours—this market is just impossible. Just got outbid again! Ugh!
