Facing landlord refusal on urgent repairs - need advice!

I'm new to Toronto and dealing with a landlord who refuses to fix critical issues in my apartment. The plumbing is awful, and the heating barely works. What rights do I have for repairs? How do T6 applications work? I'm so frustrated; I just want a livable space.
