How is anyone supposed to afford these insane rent increases?!

Another rent increase, seriously? I can't believe my landlord thinks $2800 for a bachelor unit is reasonable. It's absolutely ridiculous. Just got outbid again on a decent place and I viewed like 15 already! This market is impossible, and I'm so sick of these bidding wars.
