Anyone in Scarborough handling the downtown trek?

I’ve been thinking about the daily commute from Scarborough to downtown. The bus routes don't seem to sync well with my work hours, and I end up waiting a lot. Does anyone have tips or experiences to share? How do you cope with this long haul?
