Worried About Renovictions: My Landlord's Tactics Are Disturbing

I’m really concerned that my landlord is trying to kick me out with these forced renovations. They just raised my rent significantly, claiming they need to make 'improvements.' Is this legal? What are my rights against renovictions? I'm terrified of being forced out! How can I fight back?
