What’s the ideal WFH space for sharing?

I'm seeking a roommate for a working from home apartment in Toronto and curious about space needs. Is a dedicated office essential, or can we make a shared space work? Also, is a studio too small for WFH, or could 500 sqft be sufficient for two? Any insights would be appreciated!
