What amenities do you value most in a shared apartment?

I’ve been looking for a place with in-unit laundry; it makes life so much easier! Gym facilities are a plus too, especially if I can avoid a shared membership. How do you feel about storage options? Extra space for seasonal items can be a game changer. Anyone have balcony experiences to share?
