Condo vs Apartment in Downtown Toronto - Need Your Input!

I'm moving to Toronto in January and trying to decide between renting a condo or an apartment. I found a 1-bedroom condo in the St. Lawrence Market area for $2,800 and a 1-bedroom in a building on Dundas for $2,200. Is the extra for the condo worth it? Any thoughts on either neighborhood?
