How's the TTC access in Leaside? Worth the rent?

I’ve been eyeing Leaside, but wow, the rent prices! How’s the TTC access there compared to the cost? I just don’t want to sacrifice convenience for a wallet-busting apartment. Anyone have personal experience living and commuting from there?
