Curious about Toronto's affordable housing waitlist and process

Hi everyone! I'm new to Toronto and feeling a bit anxious about finding affordable housing. Can anyone share insights on how to apply for the affordable housing waitlist? Also, what are the average wait times? I'm hopeful but just not sure if it's worth applying. Thanks in advance!
