Fed up with Noise - Anyone Else Struggling with Silent Night?

I’m in a rental in Toronto and it feels like I’m living in a concert hall! The neighbors seem to have a personal karaoke night every weekend, and construction outside is a daily alarm clock. Anyone know if soundproofing works or tips on handling the chaos? Time's running out to find a quieter place!
