Can I offer less rent in Toronto's 2025 market?

With the rental market softening in 2025 and apartments sitting empty for weeks, I'm curious if landlords are open to negotiating prices down. Are bidding wars really over? Is there a chance I could offer below the asking rent and still get approved? Would love to hear thoughts!
