Anyone else struggling with TTC access post-graduation?

I just finished school and jumped into the workforce, but finding an apartment that’s accessible to the subway has proven challenging. Is a 15-minute walk to the nearest station worth the rent savings? How are you managing your commutes on entry-level salaries?
